A1GP driver joins Team LOCTITE

Fresh from Team Ireland's A1GP success in Mexico, where they won the Feature Race, Niall Quinn will race at Oulton Park this weekend in his inaugural British Formula 3 International race with Team LOCTITE. Team owner Trevor Powell commented 'we will have our work cut out this weekend. We have only just put the deal together and the car has not yet been run. Of course, this is not an ideal situation but that's where we areand there's no point in complaining - the situation is of our making and we will just have to get on with it.'

Niall has literally just got off the plane from Mexico and will have just three 50 minute sessions on Friday to shake down the car, re-familiarise himself with the Dallara F306 chassis appraise the Mugen Honda engine and re-acquaint himself with the Cheshire Circuit.

Team owner, Powell is very grateful for the support the Team has received from the SRO organisation in the form of Fiona Powley, Jeremy Lord at FOTA, Gavin Harrison at Neil Brown Engineering, the engine supplier and Boyo at Double R racing who supplied the car and provided a great deal of advice in getting all the parts together. Special mention also needs to be made of Harry Lloyd, father of fellow competitor Hywel Lloyd, who has loaned the team equipment, to make sure that we are able to compete this weekend.
